Rules
Welcome to the Online Pet Photo Club Rules page! Pets bring a special sort of joy to our lives every day. Online Pet Photo Club looks for photos that capture the fun, whimsey, comfort and love of pets. We challenge our website users and contest participants to use photography to capture the unique personalities of their pets.
Submission rules for our website content and any contests are non-negotiable, and must be followed or users will be blocked from the website and competitions. Rules are as follows:
- Participants must be at least 18 years old or older.
- Participants must be U.S. citizens, residing in the U.S.
- Photos submitted must be taken by the participant. Stock and generated photos, or photos not belonging to the participant, are disqualified.
- Digital manipulation via programs such as Photoshop are limited to basic exposure, color correction, and cropping. Extensively altered photos will be disqualified.
- Participants must own all rights to their submitted photos and by entering the contest, grant Online Pet Photo Club a non-exclusive right to use and reproduce the photos.
- Submitted photos may not contain watermarks and other personal identifying information.
- If photos include people as well as pets, the participant is responsible for obtaining the pictured person’s consent to use their likeness.
- Photos must be submitted as .jpg, png. or gif. They must also be under 1MB in size.
- Participants in contests may submit only one photo per contest for consideration.
- Photos are only accepted via our Submit page.
- Photos must be appropriate and family-friendly for all audiences. Any photos containing vulgarities, obscenities, illegal activity or other explicit content will automatically be disqualified from any type of posting on our site, and the person who submitted these photos will be permanently blocked from our website and competitions.
- Competition winners are chosen by popular vote on our website.
- The top competition winners per contest in each category will have their photos displayed on our website, and will receive a prize.
- Competition winners are announced on our website on the first day of each new month.
